“Money” does not have the word “fun” in it. But it does have the word “one” in it. Not sure how that’s helpful.

Barney thinks the sign was made and meant only for him. Otherwise he would understand that the beggar’s sign is sincere.

A guy in Atlanta started panhandling while holding a sign that said “Why lie, need a beer.” He became something of a local celebrity – everyone knew about him. They were rumors he was so successful he was putting kids through college with that sign.

The way I see it, if I give someone money, it is no longer mine to determine what happens with it.

And the irony? Those “coins” are tokens… ☺

As I told my children and students: money is like manure, it’s of no use unless you spread it around.

Sorry to say manure can be helpful in many ways, if you can stand the smell!

Bill Maher, explaining “money is fungible:”

A man was walking past a casino and someone stopped him and said “my wife is seriously ill and needs an operation and I’m $300 short. You look well-to-do. Can you help me?”

The passerby says, “I could, but how do I know you’re not going to just turn around and spend that money gambling?” And the man says “oh, I got gambling money!”

    Fungible also contains “bilge.”
