I’ve been trying to think of the dance Janis is doing in the first frame. It looks familiar but it just ain’t coming to me.

Cats don’t dance. They’re too cool.

First panel reminded me of how Calvin and Hobbes or the kids in A Charlie Brown Christmas dance.

Cute how Ludwig sort of relates to both but is his own style of cool cat.

Won’t dance like Hobbes nor provide the music of his namesake. Maybe he prefers to just vibe to Vince Guaraldi’s music.

Luddie’s to self conscious to dance like nobody’s watching.

I liken cats to aloof teens. If they want attention or affection, they’ll seek it out. The rest of the time, they want to be left alone. …just not too alone. They still need the safety of knowing you’re somewhere in the house.

You can dance with a cat if you hold it in your arms against your chest and gently move. Cats look down upon dogs, which dance enthusiastically with you.

No, cats are like furry 2 year olds that never grow up.

Teenage years a fun. They do their friends, mood swings, stupid decisions, hormones, etc. It is the perfect time for parents to mess with them every chance they get.

My appearance while dancing has been likened to that of a wounded gazelle. So I don’t.

When I worked the pet adoption fair circuit, when people were unsure whether they wanted a cat or a dog, I always asked if they preferred infants/ toddlers or teenagers. If they answered the former I recommended a dog, if the latter, a cat. It usually worked out perfectly, except when the dog was too laid back.
