Must be a lawyer… Of course, all of them are not for you, Ziggy… A half dozen or so… As they make the rounds… As far as the government is concerned the serfs are to be monitored…
The big problem is that the everyday person making just enough to get taxed are the ones being audited. Why can’t the IRS pick on the rich that are getting away with loopholes to pay less tax with their money. That’s just my experience.
What idiot decided to hire 87,00 IRS agents??? Oh, that’s right. Never mind. I forgot whose in office now. Why don’t they hire 87,000 Border Patrol agents? Much more effective.
How do people not pay enough taxes? Do they claim too many deductibles? Do they not file? These companies that get people off the hook with the IRS drive me wild. Why shouldn’t those people pay their fair share of taxes???
My neighbor doesn’t file taxes. She just doesn’t want to. She has money withheld from her paychecks. She probably may have gotten a refund some of these years. But she DID file for the stimulus money. That probably put her right on the radar.
I’m not sure of that at all. Especially as they are supposedly licensed to carry arms. Believe you me, the IRS is targeting SOMEone — or some profiled group.
I don’t know about that. How much is Ziggy getting paid by Mr’s Wilson and Tom2? I suspect our insecure toon is wealthier than we suspect. The artists, while neccessary, no slight intended, are no Liberty Meadows.
Between yesterday’s strip and today’s, I’m getting a little nervous about the direction this strip is taking. Now, I view each comic strip as existing in its own universe, so maybe in Ziggy’s universe the IRS is hiring 87,000 new agents, even while that isn’t an accurate description of what’s happening in ours, but still . . .

I would not be so sure about that, just because you are not paranoid does not mean that “they” are not out to get you.

I don’t believe they hired 87,000 IRS agents to come after me. They hired 86,999 agents to go after other people.
