I remember mapping out a route, and avoiding the houses that put a cookie in your bag ( pillow case) .or the wax paper bag of popcorn. This was in the 1950s.

Our neighborhood NextDoor site ran a poll, asking who was giving out full-size candy this year..

I got a chuckle from Seagull climbing through the window in the 4th panel.

“You don’t trust your own reflection.” “It’s always in reverse.” I love that.

Spud’s logic is irrefutable, I’ll never trust my reflection again.

…of course.

When I was a kid, people gave out full-sized candy bars. The the candy companies came up with “fun” sized candy. I call ’em “cheapskate” sized.

We used to go to the newer neighborhoods with cookie cutter houses close together. Full size candy bars, popcorn balls (remember popcorn balls before the razor scares), and pillowcases to hold our loot.

Rose ans Amelia working together for doing a successful strategy and have more candies possible. Their friendship is so precious!

There’s no King’s Head Island, so they need to be creative.
