Whenever I hear the Dvorak title “Songs My Mother Taught Me,” I think of those mine taught me, e.g. “We are the Gopher Girls / Because we gopher men” (to the tune of “Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-Ay” and sticking the upper teeth out on “gopher”) and “Matches, Matches, M-A-T-C-H-E-S / You can strike’em on wood, you can strike’em on glass / I know a man who can strike’em on his a-shtray …”
