Just look for Fomalhaut. Nice dark sky and a good southern horizon if they can make out Pisces Australis!
Now, grab your rod and see if you can catch it.
I once chaperoned a class thst climbed a mountain. It was quite a trek, and the whole time going up, I was thinking “at least the trip down will be easier.” Walking DOWN hill was not any easier that walking up.
