An education is what’s left after you’ve forgotten everything you learned in school.
“As long as they kept you busy and out of trouble.”
[Sometimes in school (and in life) you learn (a lot) when it doesn’t seem/feel like you’re learning (anything).]
With the way schools are these days, that answer seems sort of appropriate…
Back in the sixties, they switched us to “New Math” when I was in the third grade, and I still haven’t recovered from that.
“Oh, yes, Miss Lucille! I learned what an ‘active shooter drill’ is…and I learned that my teacher has a Glock in her desk drawer next to the Dry Erase markers…”

these institutions have new names today Lucille. but because I follow the ‘rules’ I won’t tell you what they are. “SNORT”
I ask the kids on my bus if they have homework, and if they say no, I say “What am I paying school taxes for?”
