When I was little, my parents took me to the movies. Afterwards, I grabbed my father’s hand and started talking to him. But it wasn’t him. My parents were watching me, though, to make sure everything was OK. I was very embarrassed, but everyone else thought it was cute.
My wife is notorious for getting in wrong car that looks like ours. This time it was a rental in South Dakota. She jumped in and about scared the poor guy to death who was sitting there. I saw her doing it but I just watched and laughed. She said you should have seen the look on that guys face. We still laugh about that.
We were in a restaurant one time and our then six-year-old daughter came out of the rest room to announce – loudly, of course – that if I didn’t like the paper napkins on the table, they sold cloth ones in the rest room for a nickel. (We have always used cloth napkins, so this made sense – to her, anyway.)

Ruthie made a common mistake if you aren’t looking at the people.

That has happened to our daughters either together or singly.
