This is why Pittsburgh banned ‘single use’ plastic bags; because of people who just throw them on the ground when they’re done with them. I think those people should be fined, instead of taking the bags away from those of us who use them over and over and over again…
Once when I was on vacation at a dude ranch, we dudes were happily riding along in the middle of the Arizona desert, miles and miles from human habitation, loping along the trail, minding our own business, when we rounded a bend and encountered a plastic bag caught in a mesquite tree, fluttering vigorously in the wind. The horses didn’t mistake it for a ghost, they mistook it for a saber-tooth tiger about to pounce on them (50 million years of being big cats’ dinner will do that to a critter). Only one of us was unseated (not me!), and no one was injured, but boy! do I hate those free-ranging bags!

The people at the stores used to ask “Paper or plastic?”. They can’t make that decision themselves because Baggers can’t be choosers.

What will dog walkers use for pick ups when plastic bags are outlawed?
