Not true that it’s always the same story. They switched Darrens at the start of the 6th season, and the cartoon changed as well.

I don’t know how many know this, but the animation at the start of each show was produced by Hanna-Barbera.
Samantha and Darrin made a guest appearance on The Flintstones (season 6, episode 6, air-date 10-22-1965).
You can order the entire seasons on DVD.
I liked how their show was sponsored by Chevrolet, so Darrin and Sam Stephens, and everyone else for that matter, would drive a brand new 196x Chevy! :-P
