Icelanders used to live in sod houses, and sometimes mold would grow on the insides of the walls. Way before penicillin was invented, people would take that mold from the walls and rub it on wounds to help them heal.
Maybe because I wasn’t a working mother so keeping all the rooms in my home clean was something I did myself…My children never had any “chores”, especially that young…when they got older they just sort of pitched in, though not because I even asked!… maybe they thought I didn’t do it well enough for them!
