    murmuration is a flock of starlings – they create beautiful formations as they fly as a group before settling down for the evening. According to Andrew King and David Sumpter, “murmurations exhibit strong spatial coherence and show extremely synchronized manoeuvres, which seem to occur spontaneously, or in response to an approaching threat, like hawks or peregrine falcons.”
