Every child should learn how to swim.

Swimming is a basic survival skill. Everyone should learn to do it.

I also lobby for teaching parachute landing falls in gym class, not to produce a nation of airborne troopers, but to prevent injuries. I’ve lost count of the number of times I have felt myself going down and the training “kicked in.” I wind up on the ground uninjured.

If kids can’t write script, they’ll be a lot less likely to be able to read it.

Swimming is easy. It’s breathing underwater that takes real talent!

My flying lessons made my swimming lessons necessary.

Like learning to harness a team of horse. You just never know when it might come in handy.
