Dogs can go anytime they want, unless they are home. Humans can go anytime they want when they are home, but not they are out.

Rover is amazed that Red is standing far away from the tree and peeing in the opposite direction.

This is the first time I have seen a joke with Red peeing rather than Rover. I know of three strips where Red rather than Rover has passed gas.

I have recently made some comments on one of my favourite animated cartoons Scooby Doo and have referred to some of the characters by their surnames. Someone asked me on Friday “But do you know the name of Dudley Do-Right’s horse without looking it up.”

I do not know and haven’t bothered to look it up as Dudley Do-Right is a cartoon series I have heard of but didn’t actually watch. I did enjoy “George of the Jungle” and “The Adventures of Bullwinkle and Rocky” which were both by the same producer Jay Ward.

I did once look through several reference books to find the name of Tonto’s horse in The Lone Ranger before finding that Tonto’s horse was called Scout. I looked through these reference books because the answer was part of a crossword puzzle.

Rover needs to lend a paw to help poor Red!

And tomorrow see Red in handcuffs having been arrested for violating city ordinance 10-213 [b] Urinating in a Public Place. 200.00 fine, court costs, and 30 days community service.

When a man’s gotta go, a man’s gotta go!

Rover, you can only teach Red so much. Some things Red just has to learn on his own.
