My problem is my shaking fingers hit the wrong key on my cell or I’ll hit send before I’m ready. Speak to text is okay but you really got to check your texts before you send them. Got myself in trouble more than once not doing that…
When at my former job, I often typed and saved emails as Word text files. Then after doing necessary editing I exported them into email. They were business-related and sometimes required some cut-and-paste and find-and-replace actions. I hated making typographical errors or having an idea unclearly expressed.
There was a time I just edited within the internal email app before sending. Once, in sending a memo to a female co-worker, I changed the wording several times.I meant to write, “I think it’s time.” After fiddling with the sentence and word structure, I inadvertently wrote and sent, “I think it’s t!ts time!” It must have been my “email muse” that suggested I check what I had just sent. Yikes! Fortunately our internal email system had an Unsend option.
Put ten people of all ages that can text in a room and tell them not to stop typing. I could walk in blindfolded and walk straight to the old person, affectionately known as “Pluggers”, because they leave the keyboard clicks on. Freaking annoying! I’m in my 70’s just so ya know…silent typer.(sp?).
With the advent of word processing programs, even a two fingered, hunt & peck typist like me can type faster than he can write. Our typing pool quickly dropped from four to zero. In the business faculty of the community college where my daughter teaches, typing is no longer in the curriculum.
If longer than a line or two, this plugger will type out an email or Go Comics comment, then get a coffee or take a bathroom break. Gives me a chance to think about what I wrote, proofread, and edit, before hitting send/comment.

Your a plugger if, after three edits, you send your text/email and then discover an error.

Who the hell does that?

You’re a plugger with a very short-term memory loss problem.

I don’t think there are a lot of pluggers, then. Martin Spielmann of beautiful Needham, Mass. may be the only one.

One is a plugger if they appreciate a live voice once in a while.

May be a good idea for other people who shoot off emails and comments totally based on the emotion of the moment.

Once again, I fail the test. But having been in IT for 38 years, my keyboard skills are fairly good.

Does anyone in the world do that? Besides Martin of Needham.

At least we pluggers still know how write and spell with a pen or a pencil your new modern generation couldn’t function without a computer

Pluggers don’t text. And their email address ends with aol.com.
