It’s an oldie joke. And a goldie.

I kind of prefer the bagpipe player who would STOP playing if you dropped money in his sporran.

    “A penny for your thoughts.”

“A fool and his money are soon parted.”

“That’s not bad— here’s your penny.”

If you believe it would be nice to share, don’t insist on getting paid.

Do the same to at least two other friends and tell them to do the same.

A potentially profitable way to dispense wisdom and make money at it: Set up a secured metal box in a public well-traveled place like a shopping mall. Label it “Wisdom — 25 Cents” and make a slot for coins. When people put in quarters and after a few minutes of waiting get nothing in return … well, aren’t they then wiser?

It’s more likely that I would get paid for not offering my advice.

Giving advice and being asked for advice. Two different things.

I have some great ideas at work. Unfortunately, my co’s are stuck in the ways things have been done and doing things in ABC sequence instead of taking care of D while B is getting itself sorted. Frustrating and illogical.

Ironically there was some free advice within that offer of advice for pay. A fool and his money are soon parted.
