Marm, drag it down here. We are just coming towards summer.

Not summer enough for swimming and not winter enough to use it as a miniature ice rink!

It’s probably full of holes now anyway.

Marmaduke wants it left out any filled with water so it’ll freeze and he’ll have his own private skating rink…

Marm doesn’t want summer to end, and the pool will remind him of all the fun the family had. Either this or the statement above.
