We had a TV like that, with a push-type on/off switch. It was a 1959 Zenith, on a rolling stand. (Not as big a screen as Red’s.) I remember we liked to try to turn it off by throwing couch pillows at the switch.

Wish I could fall asleep that fast. Carol and Charlie trains Red and Rover well. Yip yip yip yip yip
