A “Tuggy” as we used to call them, every dog we ever had got one. Great fun!

Move your bloomin rear Get outside before you turn into one of those non athletic sickly kids. It’s fall, cool sunny days perfect for Estes Rockets, leave piles, and going to pick out a couple of pumpkins. Later , taffy apples, cider.

Red gives the thumbs up. Usually it is the Emperor rather than the defeated gladiator who gives the thumbs up or thumbs down.

Tug is Newton’s favorite game. I make braided ropes out of old t-shirts because they don’t shred into strings like the rope toys at the pet store. And of course, Newton usually wins!

My dog came to me a non-tugger. I always wondered if it’s bad for their teeth, but my previous tugging dogs never had problems. It’s nice to have two so they can tug each other for as long as they want, as long as they play nicely.

There was a family-run roller skating rink with a miniature schnauzer in the window at a corner of the rink. Me and my family stopped to say hello, not knowing if this would be a little yappy dog or not. Schnauzers are high strung as it is. Instead the dog went to the other side of the enclosure and brought back a tug toy. She wanted to play!

Red, take it from W.C. Fields. “If at first you don’t succeed try try again, then quit. No use being a D@mn fool about the thing.”
