Soccer, golf and assistant football coach in high school had only one good eye but didn’t wear a patch. I believe he had an artificial eye. A number of players when upset with him (he was famous for his saying when someone got hurt, “Come on, get up and run it off!”) called him “Uno ojo” (old one eye). Later found out his eye was damaged in WWII when, on his 44th bomber pilot flight, he was shot down.
