Let’s start a ghost story. I’ll start off. While laying in bed waiting for midnight they heard a scratching at their 2nd story bedroom window. Next persons part.
I would have been wide awake even as a child much longer than that anyway. I was just told to stay in my room and stay in bed. Insomnia hit me very young.
It was never insomnia for me. I was just an extreme night owl (and still am.) No amount of fiddling with my sleep schedule has been able to fix that. Midnight is actually an early bedtime for me.

Fortunately Red does not have anything like a TV, music system, or phone in his room.

“Can I stay up…”
“Yes as long as you’re in bed…”
Red failed to spot the obvious contradiction.
