I still, and will forever, think that the ref stripes should be horizontal.

Penalties against the other team is the main reason for their winning record. (Technicals for roughing the refs)

Frankly I can’t see how that would work. This would just teams the excuse to do what they always wanted to do, whack the refs.

Makes me think of that old movie/TV sit com line, “It’s so crazy, it just might work!”
