When I was a wee lass, I worried cause the birds were not flying south for the winter. I mentioned to my mom and she laughed – Honey, we are South. I was confused cause it was freezing temps, snow and ice, and we lived in “North” Georgia.
We had an old sports car parked under the deck for awhile. One day I heard all this chirping from beneath my feet. A male cardinal was having a frantic discussion with the bird in the car’s side view mirror.

Tornado must have tore out the front and sides of the bird house. Nice recycling!!!

It is all relative. In the spring 50 is warm. In the fall it is cold after a hot summer.

Well, you won’t be the only bird that freezes to death either.

We have a Mocking bird that comes, every day, to have a fight with the other Mocking bird that is reflected in our window!
