My black cat used to always sit on the porch with me the entire evening to hand out candy. He seemed to like seeing all the kids. Or maybe he enjoyed that they all liked to see him.
Unfortunately, some kids don’t think of Halloween as a “spooky holiday”, they think of it as just another give away. Thank goodness there are cartoons like this that make Halloween what it is – a spooky holiday (with treats – and maybe some tricks in there with it)
I had a Doberman years ago, very sweet and loved kids. When kids came to the door, she would stick her head out and sometimes grab candy from their bags! I would give them extra new stuff, but they liked her so much they just petted her and said it was OK. I guess it was dog logic – I would open the door, kids would open their bags and hand them towards us, so she must have figured they were offering her treats.
No Trick or treaters here. (I live in a 55 + community . One of my cats would be running under the furniture every time he heard the doorbell anyway . :-( )
Love it! Mr Bliss, I especially love the way you always draw a doggy with a wagging tail. Its sticking out the back of the sheet is really cute.
Sometimes when my dog wants to play, I’ll drop a throw blanket on her. Sticking out the other end of the throw is always a wildly wagging tail. Priceless!
