    I’m on the U.S. West Coast. We need the rain badly. It’s been a dry and smokey Summer and Fall, (forest fires you know). Locally, we are in a rain deficit of over -2.5"/-6.35 cm.

    Today’s forecast for my town, courtesy of the national weather service.

    “Patchy drizzle with a chance of showers before 11am, then a chance of showers after 11am.”

    Seems kind of repetitive, although I guess the point is that after 11 AM we have the chance of showers without the patchy drizzle.
