The GOP certainly seems to be trying to kill our American democracy. Does anybody know why?

I am not a willing participant in this particular experiment. Though I agree that this particular monster acts much as depicted.

The new American Bund has certainly popped its ugly mug up here today. You can hear the giggles of their leaders and heroes echoing from when they killed themselves and their families aftet the big go-round failed even after they slaughtered millions of civilians. The words of Satan change little over the decades and even the centuries but the voice stays all to familiar to those who keep their ears perked up. And that voice always comes poorly masked as Christian salvation from all the world’s woes that the same voice has most often caused. Well here we go again folks. Wow! I have never seen a cartoon get so many people worked up. I noticed some new trolls out there plus an old one with a new tag. Just leave them alone and they will slither off to their den in Dr. F’s lab.

I’ve never understood the fear of immigrants. Go back a generation, or two, or three, or whatever, and likely one or more of your own ancestors was an immigrant. I’m not saying there should be no borders or no control of the borders. There are certainly some individuals that you wouldn’t welcome. But ordinary people looking for a better life — what’s the problem?

Everything has a lifespan.. perhaps, the Great American Experiment has run its course. Complacency will do that.

I always knew Trump was Abe Normal.

Here’s why: the Republican “platform.” They won’t write it down because too many voters might read it, so I did it for them. Despite being in the minority, members of the SCOTUS, “Conservatives,” RWNJs, and white supremacists are attempting to drag this country back to their imaginary Jeffersonian agrarian idyl. The 1790 census (when Jefferson was Secretary of State), counted 5.3M Americans. Only white males owning 50 acres or more of land were permitted to vote, approximately 6% of the population. Free white men who did not own land, free white females, and slaves could not vote. In 1790 the American population was largely rural, making a living by farming. Our most recent census counted 332,403,650 Americans. Current estimates are that 83% of Americans live in urban areas. They do not work at farming. Of course, a country of 300-plus million Americans requires a larger government than one with only 5.3 million Americans. Please don’t worry about how “small government” works with regulating what goes on in your bedroom, or prohibiting women (still citizens as far as I know) from crossing state lines for medical care. Nevertheless, in pursuit of “small government,” the following are conservatives’ goals for their “Jeffersonian” America

1. No women’s rights.

2. No civil rights for people of color, or for any other minority groups.

3. No immigration, other than Caucasians.

4. No labor unions.

5. No health insurance.

6. No legal recourse due to Republican-packed courts.

7. No social security.

8. No disability insurance.

9. No minimum wage.

10. No free and fair elections (ultimately, no elections).

11. Imposed state religion; government funding of religious schools.

12. Unregulated militias unchecked by Republican-packed courts.

13. No work on mitigating climate change; no environmental protections.

14. No free press.

As with most experiments, the results can go either way. The founders tried to incorporate as much balance into their government system as possible. But, they couldn’t guarantee that any element of that system might not go rogue in search of ultimate power for itself. That’s why its an experiment.

We now have one element of our political system, the GOP (GQP for some) that is seeking power at all costs. Should the democratic system of the founders be animated, then that’s just too bad, they think, so long as they win. This is anarchy. But, they don’t see it.

For now, only the Dems can hold back the tide of anarchistic nationalism that threatens to destroy this noble experiment.

GOP politicians don’t care about the environment or mitigating climate change because they intend to stay permanently in office and use their money and power to take over remaining livable locations as environmental conditions worsen. Republican leaders don’t care if America dies as long as they can feed off the carcass for their lifetimes. How many Americans would have to die or be virtually enslaved in jobs with less than living wages for this “platform” to work? Why do you people who support today’s GOP, Trump, and Trump wannabes think that you will come out winners under this regime? VOTE, AND VOTE BLUE!

To obtain and retain power and to neuter any opposition so they can enforce their ideology on our Nation.

Thing on the table certainly needs a brain transplant! Wait, transplant implies it already has a brain; my mistake.

The shear number of low information demi comments is stunning. Truley scary. wake up!!! you see the size of Trump rallies. There is overwhelming support for boarders, language and culture adherence to the Constitution. and Equal justice under the law. This administration.has done more to increase and enrich Mexican Cartels who are flooding this country with their victims and operating in our country.
