When I was writing up my mother-in-law’s family history, I would joke with her that I would be leaving out all of the cattle rustlers and moonshiners
I think that one of my grandma’s cousins was hung for being a horse theif.
My Italian grandparent made wine on their farm in Nevada. My mom said she was always afraid they would be caught during Prohibition.
Don’t knock the moonshiners, that’s how NASCAR got started.
Whiskey running is also a business, just not legal…..
