Part of the Senate’s (and House’s) problem is letting the President get away with not doing things he’s supposed to do and keeping him from doing things which make things worse.
I’ve heard about them “kicking the can down the road” about lots of problems that they just won’t tackle. That social security, for example. It’s scheduled to run out of money but they won’t do anything about the problem. They’ll either have to cut benefits, raise the FICA tax, delay the age at which you can get the SSI or pay the additional funds out of the general funds (which they don’t have, resulting in increasing debt). Have you heard anything out of congress about this? NO!
Congress:- “a formal meeting or series of meetings for discussion between delegates, especially those from a political party, trade union, or from within a particular sphere of activity.”
Formal! Discussion! Sounds more like a squabble at a kindergarten to me!
No, Cosmo is wrong. The senator is correct, the senate isn’t the problem—it is half of the problem, the other half of said problem is called ‘the House’ ! ! ! !
The House of Representatives has its share of the blame, and then all the state and local politicians. Still, he’s wrong, the Senate certainly is part of the problem.

That’s just plain not true. The House should take it’s share in responsibility in being part of the Problem too.

Government: if you think the problems they create are bad, wait until you see the solutions!

As they say in chemistry, if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the precipitate.

"Congress"—the present perfect tense of “transgress.”

No worry, maybe Cave-in McCarthy will fix it.

You need a 1-term 8-year president (to slow it down)…

God I heard Ron Johnson is coming back, so they will have some unintended humor in the senate!

Actually they are only half, the matching half is the House.
