well, that was uh, nice of them… do they have one or do they expect you to buy a 3-D printer… that would look weird, will I need 3-D glasses to make sense of what I see it suppose to be on the car?
Maybe, someday, a car will be repaired by having the garage scan the vehicle, identify the problem, transport out the faulty part, replicate a replacement and transport that part into your car. And all of this in just a few minutes while you wait in your car. For that matter, maybe the car will be repaired at your home from a repair satellite and will do so whether you feel a need for the repair or not. Of course, by then, why use cars when we can just be transported from place to place.
Sort of Star Trecky except that, the computers in Star Trek fashioned items using carbon that they pull out of the air instead of the plastic material used by today’s printers. Let’s hope that those computers stay that way and don’t go in Terminator mode when they find out that we are not necessary…..
Possible. With the no-science rules made now a days, that thought actually seems reasonable. Very fortunate Brutus and Gladys each have an illogical sense of humor. Likely wouldn’t survive any other way.
There are already parts on production cars and motorcycles that are 3D printed. Lots of dentists use 3D printers for crowns. Invisalign braces are 3D printed. I think most people would be surprised just how many things are already made via Additive Manufacturing

When will we get to see “The Born Loser” in 3D?

Will we need a 3D printer to print some 3d money to pay for our 3D car part? This is starting to sound like cryptocurrency.

I was wondering the same thing.

A small 3D printer, which could be used for more than making very small items can cost a fortune and the filaments aren’t cheap either.

Poor Wilberfore, it appears the gene pool on both sides of the family is pretty shallow.

WoW – 3d printer. Soon I can make the perfect woman. Young – say 25. Great cook. Pretty. Rich – super rich. I’ll name her EVE.

I’m with Gladys. The whole concept of 3D printing absolutely baffles me.
