Poor Brutus. He can’t accept that things went well for him for once.

If it’s still daylight when you leave the office, you know there’s something wrong

Once the doors closed behind me, I never gave my work a second thought.

Where’s Veeblevester? Esp when Thorny is leaving on time

Anything to avoid going home when your mother inlaw is visiting

Don’t sweat it Brutus. Your mistakes will be there tomorrow. And the next day, and the next day….

The only way that could have been true is if today was Sunday.

If I ever finished an 8 hour shift on time and all my work was done, I’d know I was asleep and dreaming. I have 12 hours worth of work to get done per 8hour shift each and every day, not counting helping junior staff when they don’t know how to do something or have problems with their work.

This kinda reminds me of a song by Dolly Parton called “Working 9 to 5”. Which I thought, how quaint, since as a rancher I would work past sundown or, “Until the cows come home!”

I feel the same way, unfortunately…

Brutus is nothing if not conscientious.

Good ole’ Brutus Thornapple, even he realizes that he can’t leave at 5 o’clock, because he couldn’t possibly be done with all his work.

Look at it this way Brutus, if did do everything right, it would be a major disappointment to Veblefester.
