With RA I have been prescribed Humira. I find it has taken away the constant fatigue and whole body pain. With that it does lack the ability to stop the RA joint pain and it lets the pain of the joints suffering osteoarthritis shine though like a 10 million lm searchlight!
My mom found out that most of her pain went away when she stopped taking her cholesterol medications. Problem now is how to control her cholesterol without taking drugs that bring back the pain. She hasn’t felt this good in YEARS. (she just turned 89 2 days ago)
Boy howdy, was this true for me when I got gout in my knee! All the rest of my usual creaky arthritic joints gave while my knee was under fire. Of course they all came back to life as soon as I got the gout under control…!
I’m 73 so I guess I qualify as a plugger. Today, I participated in the Phoenix Summit Challenge. I hiked over 15 miles and bagged 4 summits. When I started on the 5th, my legs said “no mas” so I aborted. A half-hour ago, I had to massage cramps out of my right thigh and left calf – at the same time. Will I do it again next November? Probably

It’s not really a cure … but it may serve as a distraction.

It’s plugger pain-demonium, emphasis on the “demon” part.

The pain that hurts the most, gets the most attention.
