Alice remains calm and polite in the face of inexplicable adult stupidity.

So Dill is just a chip off the ol’ block.

I don’t think she found it funny

In yesterday’s strip, Mom was all fussbudget about Alice crossing the street and spinning the bottle and yet, she’s letting her go into this guy’s house??

Nailed it. This is giving me flashbacks to way too many similar encounters with adults at that age. Kids never find these jokes as funny as they do.

Ok, Dill’s family is crazier than Alice’s.

She didn’t get it and/or she didn’t find it funny. So a four year old doesn’t understand you. Move on.

In response to Skeezix’s Birth Father, a kid’s reaction to a dad joke is part of the reason why dads think the jokes are funny.

So, we meet the father of the trebuchet building brothers.

We are not amused.

Dill never had a chance.

At the age of four, Alice is already immune to dad jokes. I guess when you have a father with a toy car, and he sings to you all the way to school, you are battle hardened. Sigh, kids grow up so fast these days.

This helps to answer some questions I have about Dill.

Dill’s Dad, a hippie-grown-middle-aged, still trying to be a Witty Youth. Ha ha ha ha, hm.

Just politely ignore him, Alice As father of the Wedekind Trebuchet Brothers, plus Dill, he needs to take refuge in his “love child” past….
