This jalopy’s bladder tank is accustomed to a cup at a time. On average it gets me as far as shopping a few places, with one pit stop, and then back home.
He is holding mug, not a cup. As for “size” a cup = only 8oz, maybe enough to fill a cup used with a saucer, but that is a little to fancy pantsy for a plugger.
Sure.. but all those cups bought in souvenir shops or given away at gas stations all came in different sizes. My cupboard only has 4 mugs that are the same size.
There are people who (gasp!) don’t drink coffee. Worse, there are some who (double gasp!) drink de-caf. We don’t know any of these people socially, of course. I drink a pot of coffee during the day and drink tea at night. Yes, I sleep well, thank you.
Hmm. Not sure how they do things in Massachusetts, but around here, I remember coffee “to go” coming in different sizes and receptacles. Also had a thing called a “thermos” to take it along on a trip. (My parents, especially my dad, were coffee-lovers, a trait I inherited). And I am definitely old enough to qualify as a Plugger!

For the plugger, only drink eight (ounces that is), and control your weight!

But in some places, it was a bottomless cup.

Coffee in a cup don’t stay hot long enough while reading comics. Cools off before I get to Pluggers!

Lukewarm leftover coffee for starters this morning. Didn’t want to waste it.

We went to a “Friendsgiving” dinner last Sunday, and they used their fine china. I forgot how small those coffee cups are! Just a few sips.

It was worse back then, when you couldn’t get coffee to go.
