Reminds me of when I resigned from the Air Force after six months of intensive physical training. Back home, I said something about the military my mother did not like and she tried to slap me. I stopped her hand using only two fingers. I could hear reality crystalizing around her. We did not have that kind of relationship anymore.
Fifty years later I still call Mom on the phone every month but she never tried to slap me again.
