That joke was pterrible.

When I was growing up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, there was a bar and restaurant called Ptomaine Ptommy’s. I asked my dad what that meant and how to pronounce it, and he explained that the P was silent, as in swimming.

I didn’t know pterosaurs had necks like owls’. (Oh great, now my auto grammar correctors are fighting.)

The P is silent – as in bath.

As long as he doesn’t do it in the ool.
