Given the context of how badly the incumbent party normally performs in midterm elections, the Democrats’ performance is nothing short of miraculous. The one 10-alarm fire is Florida and that case needs to be put under an electron microscope to see how that contagion can be contained.

Where’s DEFLECTION? I guess “noise” works, too.
