It’s getting real cool around these part, I saw 10 degrees when I looked. They say partly cloudy now, and abundant sunshine, high 30. Ah ain’t gona complain. Wouldn’t make a difference if I did.
1. She played a woman who ran a hotel by the railroad tracks. She’s also known for her voice work for Warner Brothers cartoons.
2. He played a millionaire with a drive to fight crime.
3. He played a movie stuntman who worked as a bounty hunter on the side.
4. These two performers could flaten the hills and straighten the curves and give the sherif a head aech.
Can you name the actors and the shows?
All y’all Vagabonds have a great day, may God go with you where ever you go.
Last night’s Christmas Tea was great. The room was beautiful and the company at our table was terrific. We had a speaker who was born in Bulgaria and she talked about Psalm 23, mostly verse 5 – the feast or table “He sets before me in the presence of my enemies.” She was a pretty good speaker and we had a lot of laughter. (Then on the way home I heard a speaker talking about how good for you laughter is. So all in all it was a great time.) I even won the centerpiece at our table. (for the second year in a row). I have no place for it, so I gave it to a tablemate who really wanted it.
Today’s agenda includes continuing with the Christmas décor. We will go through everything and put up all the house decorations and get a start on the tree. You wouldn’t believe how many boxes of stuff we have, and that’s after purging a couple of years ago.
We’ve got white fleecy clouds this morning with a bit of blue peeking through. We’re at 40 at the moment heading for 60. 57 tomorrow, then the rest of the 10-day is all in the 40’s with overnights at or near freezing. And it’s not even winter yet.
i can’t believe how quickly time is flying by. Jack is having major eye problems. bleeding is creeping into his vision, please add him to your prayer lists.
It looked to be about 16 this morning, getting all the way up to a high of 28. An Alberta clipper will be sailing through from the NW to the SE, we’re expecting from a trace to 1”. (0.0)
Now is as good a time as any to answer some questions that I posed.
1. I was thinking of Bea Benaderet, Kate from “Petticoat Junction”. She also is known for voice acting on the cartoons, she was the voice of Betty Rubble on the “Flintstones”.
2. Here I was thinking of “Batman”, millionaire crime fighter.
3. A Hollywood stunt man moonlighting as a bounty hunter: “The Fall Guy” staring Lee Majors didn’t watch it all the time but what I saw was alright.
4. Flattening the the hills, Straightening the curves and giving Sheriff Rosco and Boss Hogg fitts “The Dukes of Hazzard”.
I haven’t done one of these for a while.
May you have an uplifting message in church this morning and may God be next to you in the pew.
Off to church in a few minutes. Not much else to report. I got the house decorations up yesterday. All that’s left is the tree and Mike said he was coming over and wanted to participate. I turn the lights on anyway because it’s really pretty at night even without ornaments.
We have a few scattered clouds out there, but mostly blue skies. Yesterday at this time it was 40 outside, today it’s 52. We’re expecting a high of 55, but I would almost bet that we’ll get higher than that given the current temp.
