If that had been me, I would have just said, “Hi, Mom & Dad. This is Irving’s dog, Vivian. I’m taking care of her for a few days while he’s out of town on business” and just left it at that. Cathy introducing her parents to Vivian as “Grandma and Grandpa” and then rambling on about how they’d actually be her “Step-Grandma and Step-Grandpa” should she and Vivian’s “dad” wind up together is nothing but useless jibber-jabber on her part that the dog doesn’t even understand. It’s beyond time for her to stop talking before things get even weirder and more awkward than they’ve already become ….. assuming that’s even possible, that is!

Definitely weirder! Of course performing a formal introduction for a dog is a little weird in the first place – but then, this is Cathy.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend.

The only thing Vivian is going to check out is their smell anyway…skip the intros Cathy.
