I suppose there are really only two styles of sunglasses. One is to see with and the other is to be seen with. For me they are both way to expensive. I’ll take a hat please.
I wear big fit-over sunglasses because the whole point of sunglasses is to block the sun. I always take them off when talking to people or being photographed. I’m in my 70s and have no eye wrinkles and no permanent squint.
You can take your fancy-schmancy sunglasses and wear them where the Sun don’t shine. :)
I always wear sunglasses because I know several people with macular degeneration. Please protect your eyes! You can wear cheap sunglasses as long as they have good UV protection.
I wear flip-up clip-ons, which no one has ever considered a fashion statement.
Well, Cathy, what did you expect? If you go to a fancy-schmancy department store to shop for sunglasses, then super-expensive is what they’re going to be! I buy mine at places like Walmart and Dollar General. They may not be the absolute best when it comes to protecting against “UVA, UVB, UVQ, UVX, Y and Z” rays, but they’re a lot cheaper than $375.00 and they still do a pretty good job when it comes to keeping the bright sunlight out of my eyes so that I can see without having to do too much squinting — especially while I’m driving.

Hi, rgcviper! :-)

Hello and Happy Sunday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope you’ve all had a really great weekend! ♥
How about some shades for just … um … living life, and not doing all this intense athletic stuff?! I must say I had the same reaction as comic Cathy to the price tag, though.
Polarized—so I can see through the glare to the trout in the water. And bifocal—for driving since I have good distance vision, but need reading glasses to see a map.

My progressive eyeglasses turn into sunglasses when I go outside on a sunny day.

If I’d “looked at it through these while scaling the sheer wall of a granite cliff,” I’d be dead.
