It may seem strange, but it is very refreshing to worry about your job from new and exotic locations. Besides, who knows. You might have to start floating your CV there. Anyone need a suddenly unemployed whatever in Fiji?
Panel 2 is even more true today. I cannot think of any valid reason other than job insecurity for employees on vacation to check into the office. Supporting your own inflated idea of your importance is not a valid reason.
Happy Thursday. I will ‘see’ you again next Tuesday. This is the 49th High School Drinking Gang Annual Summer Reunion Camping Trip weekend. I will not be checking onto the office while I am away. I do not even look at my phone as it will be locked in the car.
I’m not sure what year this comic is from, but I remember being on vacation at the very beginning of the “Great Recession” and my husband getting a call from his boss asking if he planned to retire soon. He didn’t even though he was old enough…and luckily he didn’t have to.

If you can’t relax and enjoy yourself on vacation. Then don’t go.

It’s a shame if employees feel like they can’t take a break without checking in to keep their job. Sounds like a bad place to work.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!
