Sounds like a match made in heaven… (◔_◔) …or a marriage that will end in divorce (“I’ll live with it as long as humanly possible” Ouch!)

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!

Amazing. That’s pretty much how I picked my dog. Worked out pretty well.

When my wife wanted another car, she drove to the nearest showroom in Marin County and said OK to the first car shown to her. I said “Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute.”

I crawled under the car and found some suspicious stains on front end components. I went to a local book store and bought the maintenance manual. I showed the salesman where the stains were located and asked for an explanation. He showed me the maintenance records where they had replaced a component in the front wheel drive.

I’m still driving that car 20 years later.

The only time I bought a car. I found out a week later that the Air Conditioner/Heater was a box of shattered plastic stuffed full of newspapers and covered in duct tape. Somehow I had signed away my warranty, too. There are things I am good at doing but buying a car is not one of them. :) :(

With the help of consumer reports and the manufacturers website I usually have the vehicle I want, including the colour, before I even visit the dealer. This way I don’t have to worry about being influenced by a pushy salesperson.

Another beautiful day I am am stuck in my car dealers waiting room while they track down an issue with the computer and do a little recall programming. I hope your day is more fun.

Ah, the unfun days of being stuck in the old car while your parents buy a new one.

Sounds like this car-buying situation could be dangerous! Or, it could lead to years of happiness. Stay tuned for details …
