These two need to shop separately (although I’m agreeing with Cathy today). Counting the number of beans that people has eaten is bizarre. No point in driving across town for such a small “savings.” There’s no changing the size of a can, so just eat the extra or add it to the recipe. Two more days until the real craziness begins though.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! Have a great day, all!
The thing I’m most thankful for every year is that our daughter’s in-laws host Thanksgiving at their house and the only thing we have to bring is our always-requested pumpkin pies! :-)

Hello and Happy Tuesday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Have a great day, everyone! ♥
It is not often I agree with Cathy but today is one of those times. Driving across town to save a few dollars is rarely worth it – although driving across town here is a whole 5 minutes – and my time is worth way more than a few dollars. Funny how time becomes more precious as we get older.
After he retired, my mother could count on my father to do the food shopping. He really enjoyed finding bargains, so he often went to 2 or 3 different stores to get the best prices.
Like mother, like daughter, with the … unique … shopping habits—not to mention the charming little “frustration hats” in panel 4. I think those things will catch on! Ha.

How much do you really save after you’ve figured in the cost of gas driving across town?

Zero, you lose money, unless you shop at ALDI’s.

You’re the Chef or you’re the Sous chef. Make a decision and stick to it.

I agree with everyone who said it’s a time and money waster to drive across town for a so-called bargain.
