Unfortunately, a lot of those “collectibles” were collected by way too many people to be valuable now.

I do love Christmas ornaments. I can’t walk by a display without wanted to scoop up a bunch.

If I paid that kind of money for one ornament, it’s going to hang up for the whole year, not just at Christmas. I can find a nice place for it on a wall.

Hubby and I collect some of the Hallmark ornaments, but we get them at the after-Christmas sales for the following season.

Cathy probably was a Beanie Baby collector too.

Umm Cathy – it isn’t an heirloom unless it has been passed down at least one generation (unless it is that variety of tomato). I do have a large collection of dragons each with a certificate of authenticity and a serial number. Nope – not collecting them for their future value (pretty much nil) but because I like dragons and because they were gifts from my father.

Good timing for this strip today. I am taking a break from decorating our tree – and just hung up some ornaments we bought for our first Christmas together – 47 years ago. They did cost more than $1.50 though. The sticker on the box says $5.95.

    Have a terrific Thursday.

Yeah … 38 buckeroos does seem steep for one ornament. Then again, seems like everything is more expensive now than it used to be. Does anything ever become cheaper over time?!

    HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.

I’m only buying unique NFT virtual Christmas ornaments this year. So much more expensive than “heirloom”. :) :) :)
