I’m a procrastinator, but it is December 13. I suspect that no matter when these gift exchanges were going to happen, Cathy was going to freak out anyway. Either postpone these gift exchanges or go out and grab something quickly. Although my first choice would be to just meet for lunch and not exchange gifts.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!
The gifts have all been bought and delivered – thanks, Amazon and Walmart! However, they are sitting in a pile in my closet and they way things go around here, they probably won’t be wrapped until late Christmas Eve.
For probably the first time in my life, I’ve actually finished my Xmas shopping pretty well ahead of the big day. (Thank you, Amazon.) But, I wouldn’t have any holiday drama if I didn’t leave the wrapping until later, right? Ha.
As for the gift exchanges in today’s comic? Either pick and agree on a date, or just go simple with cards/visits/calls, as others have said. Don’t make me say AACK! at them …

Save a little Christmas for Christmas
Save a little spirit
Put some love away
Think about the shepherds in fields as they lay
And save a little Christmas for Christmas day
Save a little Christmas for Christmas
Save a little gladness till the holiday
Think about the wise men as they made their way
And save a little Christmas for Christmas day

Just tell them you haven’t bought their gift yet. Why are you always putting yourself through this, Cathy?

Hubby and I have bought our gifts, we’ll probably get them wrapped and under the tree by this weekend.
