Works for me. If New Year’s isn’t a time to splurge on some tasty treats, I don’t know when is.

Yup, I like that reason too. Unfortunately there are not that many treats left after the Christmas celebration. That might be a good thing since there are only two of us now instead of seven.

Beautiful day today – below freezing, sun shining (albeit weakly through the clouds), snow flakes gently drifting down, and a light northern breeze (just enough that your cheeks and nose gets cold quickly). I see the ice near the shore is already strong and smooth enough for skaters – I saw a few of the neighbours skate by with hocky sticks in their hands. Definitely a great day to end off the year.Once I finish reading the comics it will be time to head down to the beach to set up the fireworks for tonight.

Happy New Year’s eve to everyone who drops by today.

I love Cathy and her family and friends (so did my dead mother and sister).
