Parkour puppy parks posterior perkily pre-pout.

My parrots know which door lock car horn beep belongs to us and squawks when they hear it. They ignore the neighbors.

They’re waiting till she calms down before coming inside. Yip yip yip yip yip

The birds outside know the sound of our back door. “here comes the feeder lady!”

At least one of our cats is usually waiting at the door when I come home in the morning

I dont know if they know the sound of our car, or if they just like hanging out by the front door

Our Chihuahua (RIP) could hear the sound of wife’s van and be by the door but ignore all the other traffic

Our dog Benny could hear the Hub’s van as it turned the corner onto our street, which corner was 1\2+ block away from the house. But, he always got up when the tires hit the gravel driveway. Our “doggitty” cat, Piemurr, magically appeared at the house’s door to the garage, the instant the garage door opened for Hubs to pull the van in.

Sometimes, having the whole house all to yourself just means you’re alone.

I had a roomate who had 2 yorkie chihuahuas. They knew when her car door had been closed in the next town and she was on her way home! JK. They jumped and ran barking to the door at every car too. LOL

Just as well, they are not going to be happy when they see the mess you made in the living room.
