I wasn’t a lazy worker, but I needed many smoke breaks (I was, and I am, an hard smoker). I made up for lost time spending brief coffe breaks and working during lunch time.
As a much younger man, I could drink coffee from the time I got up in the morning and went to bed at night. Now, I can only get away stomach wise with 2 cups in the morning.
The coffee in the glass carafe is an unfortunate looking color! It looks like they already mixed in the milk or cream. What if somebody wanted their coffee black?
Our shop lost a lot of productive time when the smokers had to go outside to smoke. Before they could smoke at their bench while working.. now they go out one door for a break.. then come back and go with another buddy out another door. Foreman goes nuts trying to find him.
If you want to see time really fly, try adding some Irish Cream to your coffee. Plus the added benefit of not being fazed by rude comments from your boss.
Since there are some comments on the coffee, the color reminds me of chocolate milk, with some Irish Cream added in. :^)
Back in the beforetime when I was unretired I had a mug of coffee that I followed all around the office most of the day. Didn’t affect what I did or got done. (There’s your opening.)
Bossman must be having coffee breaks at the same time as Brutus. I am not a coffee drinker – generally people don’t just stand around and drink coffee all day, right? Don’t they fill their cups and go back to their desks with it? People are more productive with small breaks during the day away from their work space, so Bossman should find another complaint to crab about.
He needs to carb up for all the hard work he does for the company of course like any good athlete would….PS will be going to Europe for next 10 days. So don’t think I died if I don’t comment Though I might try and get one or two in…..

Who will break first?

At least if he’s on coffee break(s) he can’t get into any trouble on the job.

Followed by a bathroom break and a smoke break. That ought to whittle that hour down.

Fun flies when you’re doing time. Or is it: times fun when you’re having flies?

must be good coffee… perhaps the clock drinks it too then that would explain why it’s flying. :j

Good ole’ Brutus Thornapple, if he did half as much work as he drank coffee, old Veeblefeetzer would be out of a job.

That’s nothing compared to the people that take cigarette breaks every 15 minutes…

Maybe if he got one of those beer hats and put coffee in it the whole day would be outstanding.

Choose boss, either he drinks coffee or he sleeps for 8 hours.

The boss shouldn’t take so many breaks because he is bothered by them.

Brutus, when it comes to Veeblefester, you should only speak when you are spoken to, because you always seem to say the wrong thing.
