Funny dog-annoys-dog story: Riding my bike to work one day, a pair of dogs run out, only one barking. The other dog finds this so annoying that he grabs the barking dog by the scruff, shakes him and tosses him … under my front wheel. This launches me over the handlebars; but don’t worry, next day both dogs were still running.
We were at the dog pound many years ago looking for a dog to adopt. We saw a female Springer Spaniel mixed breed who was kind of laid back and also saw a smaller more bouncy type dog. We put them together and the smaller dog kept jumping on the spaniel. After a few minutes and in a calm manner the spaniel put her paw on the smaller dog and laid down on top of the smaller dog, making things calm again. We adopted the spaniel mix (also part shepard we were later advised), named her Mindy and she was by far the best and smartest dog we ever owned. Still tear up when I think about her being gone for about 30 years now.

Spike isn’t a playful breed.

It always amuses me to see two dogs play together.

I saw the exact same move by a Great Dane to an egomaniacal Shih Tzu

Well, here we are, Monday, December 5, 2022, and Tank McNamara’s got another strip. Maybe (I hope!) I was wrong about it ending.

LOL. Working part-time at a doggy day care in my retirement, I can attest to this. Try this with managing 20+ dogs in a playground!
