So Rover takes his collar off to have a swim? Or does he mean that he doesn’t take a bath with his collar on?

If the collar is leather and it gets wet and then sun dries, it could shrink enough to be a problem for the dog.

Bathing suit? Most dogs I know go in their birthday suit.

It’s bathing suit season somewhere in the world. Give Rover more food – with all the swimming he’ll be doing in his dreams, he’ll lose the extra weight. Yip yip yip yip yip
