I was named after “Roger”, the tiger cub, that was on some of the early Wild Kingdom episodes!

That’s right, Rover, you are the mighty squirrel hunter.

Comparing today’s strip with those of the last two Saturdays:-

I have mentioned in the past that I would like to see Red and Rover spend a vacation in the southwest with Rover chasing roadrunners. He can certainly outrun Red but not squirrels so I would like to see how he does with roadrunners.

Its like dogs chasing cars. When the car stops, dog is confused as to what to do with it.

Actually, cheetahs have less than 50% success rate on average.

Cheetahs, and other big cats, are successful about 12% of the time. Enough to not starve and enough to keep the prey population in check.

Imagine a modern TV show with a sponsor’s name in the title.

I once had a dog who caught his first rabbit when he was only a four month old pup. The rabbit beat him up. After that, for the other dogs, hunting rabbits was a sport. For him, it was war.
